Niagara women's hockey

Margot Page

Margot Page was charged with bringing Division I women’s hockey to Niagara University, serving as the program’s first head coach when they began play in 1998. She led the team to 133 wins in 10 seasons at the helm, including the program’s best season – the 2001-02 campaign when the team was ranked as high as No. 2 in the country, earning a spot in the Women’s Frozen Four.

Page has been active on the international scene both on the ice and behind the bench. She played for the Canadian National women's ice hockey team from 1989 to 1994, winning three gold medals at the IIHF Women's World Hockey Championships (1990, 1992, 1994).    She has coached the Canadian National Women's Under-22 team, and was an assistant coach with the women's national team from 2004 to 2006, including being part of the gold-medal winning coaching staff at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.

She currently is the head coach of the Brock University women’s hockey team in Ontario.

Allison Coomey

Allison Coomey was a member of Niagara University’s inaugural women's ice hockey team. She served as an alternate captain for her senior season, 2001-02, an historic Purple Eagles team that captured the ECAC regular-season title and advanced to the program’s first NCAA tournament appearance and Frozen Four. Niagara finished the year 26–8–2 and was ranked as high as No. 2 in the country.

A native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Coomey earned a bachelor's degree in education in 2002 from Niagara and a master's degree in school counseling in 2008 when she returned to the program as an assistant coach. Among her coaching stops were seven seasons at Penn State, including four as associate head coach.

She is currently the head coach of the University of Delaware’s women’s hockey program, which completed its inaugural season in 2026.
